For more than a decade, Crain’s Detroit Business has been celebrating Health Care Heroes — leaders who go above and beyond to make their organizations more efficient, improve patient care and save lives.

Categories for nomination: 

• Corporate Achievement Heroes: Leaders driving growth and success in their organizations while making a lasting impact on the health care industry.
• Administrator Heroes: Executive-level leaders creating and implementing programs, processes, or initiatives that elevate both employee and patient experiences.
• Physician Heroes: Doctors who apply innovative approaches to deliver higher-quality care and improve patient outcomes.
• Allied Health Heroes: Nurses and allied health professionals recognized for exceptional, creative, or groundbreaking contributions to patient care.
• Advancements in Care Heroes: Individuals or teams developing pioneering procedures, devices, programs, or services that save lives and improve quality of life.

How to nominate: 

• To get started, click the application link and sign into your account. If you do not have an account, you will be asked to create one before you can proceed with the nomination form. We recommend using Chrome or Firefox web browsers to complete your application. 
  • To finish an incomplete nomination: Sign into your account and choose either the "incomplete" or "in progress" option as shown on the next page. Then, select "edit" on the following page to complete the previously started submission.
• To submit someone for consideration, there is a nomination fee of $25, which must be paid before the nomination can be formally submitted. The fee ensures your nominee will be considered by judges. It does not ensure your nominee will be selected.

Honoree notification: Health Care Heroes will be notified by phone or email approximately 5 weeks before publication day. Please note that we do not notify all applicants, only those we have selected as honorees.
